Okay, so, I wanted to pick out a name for my new kitten. I thought it might be fun to go with a name that starts with “B.”
First off, I started by browsing the internet. I typed in something like “cat names starting with B” and scrolled through a bunch of websites. There were tons of suggestions, but I was looking for something that would really fit my little furball.
Brainstorming Session
Then, I grabbed a pen and paper and started jotting down names that caught my eye. Some of the ones I liked were Bella, Bailey, and Bandit. I also stumbled upon Biscuit and Bagheera, which I thought were pretty unique. I even considered Buddy, because, well, he is my little buddy. Someone on one of those websites said that Buddy is a name that’s been used a lot in different cultures and basically means a beloved friend, which is perfect, that is my little furry.
I also remembered reading something about how cats respond to certain sounds. Apparently, they’re more likely to pay attention to names with a long “ee” sound, like Phoebe or Zeke. I think a name like this would also be great, but I am not sure. Not many “ee” sounds in the B names, right?
- Bella
- Bailey
- Bandit
- Biscuit
- Bagheera
- Buddy
Narrowing it Down
After making my list, I started thinking about my cat’s personality. Is he bold? Bubbly? I tried saying the names out loud to see how they felt. I also started looking up the meanings of some of the names. Like, Baxter apparently means “baker” in Old English, which I thought was kind of funny since my cat loves to eat. And Baron sounds kind of noble, which could be cool if my cat ends up acting all regal.
There is also someone saying that choose a cat with a compatible personality, well, I am not sure about that. If your cat is a little aggressive, maybe don’t put it with a shy one? I guess that makes sense. I just have one cat right now, maybe I should get another one, then I can pick another name that starts with B.
In the end, I picked the name that I felt fit my cat the best. It was a tough choice, but I’m happy with it. And honestly, the whole process of researching and picking out the perfect name was a lot of fun, too!
