Is Weruva Cat Food Good? We Tried It and Heres What We Found!

Okay, so I’ve been trying out this Weruva cat food lately, and I gotta say, it’s been quite the journey figuring out if it’s any good. First off, I started digging around, you know, just to see what the deal was with this brand.

Is Weruva Cat Food Good? We Tried It and Heres What We Found!

Found out Weruva is this family-owned gig that popped up in 2006. They’ve got both wet and dry food for cats and dogs, and some nutritional stuff too. I’m all about that quality, so I was pleased that it is grain-free, gluten-free, and BPA-free.

Then, I started checking out what’s actually in this food. They’re using natural, human-grade stuff, which sounds pretty fancy. Lots of protein and not much of those carbs cats don’t really need. I grabbed a few cans to try with my cat.

When I opened the first can, it didn’t look like that weird mush you sometimes get. It looked like real food. My cat seemed pretty into it from the first sniff. She ate it all up, and that’s saying something because she’s a picky one.

    What happened next:

  • Observed how she took to it over a week. Noticed her energy levels were up. She seemed more playful, and her coat started looking shinier. That’s a good sign.
  • Checked her litter box, too. Everything seemed normal, which told me her tummy was handling the new food just fine.
  • Read up on some more reviews online. Turns out, a lot of other cat owners are saying good things about Weruva. But there was also one Vet Tech that said she didn’t hear any complaints about it, but that doesn’t mean there are no problems. It was a good point, so I kept a closer eye on my kitty.
  • Compared it to the usual brands vets recommend. You know, like Hills, Royal Canin, and Purina Proplan. I’ve tried those, and they’re okay, but Weruva seems to be on par, if not better, in terms of ingredients.

So far, so good. My cat’s thriving, and I’m feeling pretty good about switching to Weruva. It seems like a solid choice for keeping her healthy and happy. I heard somewhere that it’s “protein fit for human consumption”. That sounds great, but I’m not about to try it myself. But for my cat, it seems great.

It looks like I’m sticking with Weruva for now. It’s been a bit of an experiment, but a successful one, I’d say. My cat’s seal of approval is all I really need, right?
