Okay, so I’ve been meaning to switch up my cat’s food for a while now. Picky little furball, you know? I kept seeing ads for Nature’s Feast, and honestly, the packaging got me. It looked so…wholesome. So, I decided to give it a shot and document the whole thing.
The Hunt Begins
First, I headed to the pet store. I wanted to see the options in person, smell it (yeah, I’m that pet owner), and read the ingredients list super carefully.
The store had like three different varieties: one with chicken, one with salmon, and a “grain-free” option. I will choose the one that is chicken and salmon, and grain-free.
The Inspection
Back home, I laid out the bag. Pretty standard stuff – resealable, which is a must. Then came the ingredient check. I always look for real meat as the first ingredient, and thankfully, Nature’s Feast had chicken listed right at the top. Bonus points!
The First Taste Test
This is where it gets real. I poured a little bit of the Nature’s Feast into a clean bowl and put their previous brand food into another clean bowl, then presented it to my cat. Normally. He’s hesitant with new food, sniffing it forever before taking a tiny bite. But this time? He went straight for the Nature’s Feast! No joke, he munched it right down. I was shocked, honestly.
- First day: He ate all of it, no problem. Seemed to have good energy.
- Few days in: Still loving it. His poop, no change.
- A week later: Coat looks shinier? Maybe it’s just me, but I swear he’s looking extra sleek.
- two weeks later: His enthusiasm is still pretty high, He seems happier and more playful!
The Final Meow
So, after a couple of weeks of this Nature’s Feast experiment, I’m pretty happy. My cat seems to love the taste, his energy levels are good, and I haven’t noticed any digestive issues.
I have to say, I’m impressed, it seems a good choice for my cat!
